Steve Tracy

Steve Tracy was born on October 3, 1952 in Canton, Ohio. He attended Kent University and studied acting at LACC's Theatre Department and Harvey Lembeck's Comedy Workshop. He was in many movies including:

     National Lampoon's Class Reunion
Save the Last Dance For Me
     Forever Young
     Say Yes
Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens

He also guest starred on:

     Quincy
     The Jeffersons
     James at 15
     The Frankie and Annette Show

Steve was diagnosed with AIDS and he went public with his disease at a time when very few performers were willing to do so. It was his hope that his coming forward would raise public awareness of the disease and save lives. He was loved and supported through his illness by both his family and the entire cast of Little House on the Prairie. He died at age 34 on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1986 from complications of AIDS ("respiratory failure in conjunction with Kaposi's sarcoma."
